Calm Seas<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span>Starsky POV<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

He paints calm seas in greens and blues<\/span>
\nHis spirit expressed in the varied hues.<\/span>
\nHe keeps his works in a dusty stack<\/span>
\nWith caution I pull one from the pack.<\/span><\/p>\n

The water has depth from layered strokes<\/span>
\nThe sky\u2019s hidden sun holds a glimpse of hope.<\/span>
\nThe beach is pristine, save for lone footprints.<\/span>
\nThe effect is subtle with natural tints.<\/span><\/p>\n

I gaze upon the azure horizon<\/span>
\nI imagine a tall ship to sail upon<\/span>
\nI would conquer this sea and break the calm<\/span>
\nClaim it and protect it from any harm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Someday I will fill a gallery<\/span>
\nWith his works that mean so much to me<\/span>
\nFramed and hung on well-lit walls<\/span>
\nHis brilliance displayed for one and all<\/span><\/p>\n

He builds tall ships with wood and thread.<\/span>
\nHis hidden strength and words unsaid<\/span>
\nExpressed in intricate riggings and sails<\/span>
\nLovingly crafted in all its details.<\/span><\/p>\n

I watch his hands as he tightens a string<\/span>
\nHis firm, gentle touch makes my heart sing.<\/span>
\nHis eyes are intense and opened wide<\/span>
\nI catch a brief glimpse of the man inside.<\/span><\/p>\n

I imagine a pirate, sure and bold<\/span>
\nConquering seas on his search for gold.<\/span>
\nClaiming the waves in his domain<\/span>
\nThen calming the frantic seas again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Someday I will paint his ship on my sea<\/span>
\nShow him how much he means to me.<\/span>
\nTogether we\u2019ll sail beyond the frame<\/span>
\nAnd journey to lands we dare not name.<\/span><\/p>\n
