Note from Flamingo:
This year, at Media West Con, I was prowling the dealers room when I saw this note propped up on a piece of interesting art:
Below that was this explanation:
And then next to that was this lovely art of Starsky and Hutch on an Egyptian chariot. I asked the artist if I could submit the art to the Advent Calendar and she agreed! I was happy to take the boys home! They are truly timeless!

How COOL!! What a lovely piece of art! What a great find! Thank you for sharing!!
This is why I love this fandom. I never would have thought of this, but the creativity here is boundless. Thanks to artist Sophianan and Flamingo for sharing.
Gotta love the paintwork on that chariot! And what a fun story behind the picture. Thank you for sharing!
That’s so neat! And so charming, too. Thanks for sharing it!
Oh! This made my day. I love ‘found’ things. When I worked for a big name thrift store I always flipped through the books and found all sorts of neat things. If I had found this I would have fainted. Beautiful, just Beautiful!
‘Timeless’ indeed, Flamingo. Thanks to you, and to Sophianan for being willing to share it with us. What a wonderful gift.
Love that chariot. What a great imagination. Thanks for sharing it with all of us!
Love it! Now we just need one of our talented writers to write a corresponding story! (Yes, I’m shamelessly greedy,)
Awesome! Truly one of a kind.
“Not Kirk/Spock!” *giggles madly*
Fans are awesome, and S&H fans are the awesomest! Thanks, Sophianan and Flamingo 🙂
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful!
What a super find and a great story. The art is very cool. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this creative art!
That is really something special!
That’s such a cool find!
You should hold a contest for the best story to go with this drawing. I would happily read entries!
