Nice! I love the hand print! Oh my.
The supplies scattered about is almost as much fun as the animal prints. And the jungle comforter was a perfect choice. I love this.
Oh, God, Suzan, I fantasized about whether or not you’d be tempted by my story and now I discover that you were! And, WOW, your image is even hotter than I imagined, and more beautiful. I’m going to immerse myself in the myriad details (of course Starsky would paint his claim to Hutch’s body in various places and forms {LOVE the hand print!!!}) just as soon as I get my heart settled down. THANK YOU so very much for this fantastic gift!
It’s meant as a thank you (and a surprise) to *you*. I’m delighted that you like it. You’re very, very welcome.
I figured Hutch would stick to the script, and Starsky, being Starsky, would go off it & embellish — in a cheeky way, so to speak. The title and the little figures on the comforter came from Maurice Sendak’s book; not the most respectful nod to his work, I know, but what can I say? Mea culpa.
Oh, it was indeed, a surprise, Suzan; the best and happiest one I’ve had in many a long year! As soon as I read Flamingo’s notice that Day 12 was open, and the three names, my heart skipped a beat. Did she really do the painting? (I think the title clued me in that you did.) When I clicked on it, before clicking on the story, I started crying. You did it, my friend. You really DID IT. I love your talent, your skill, and all your contributions to this fandom. You’re one-of-a-kind, Suzan, and we’re all the beneficiaries.
And, yes, of course, Starsky would embellish. Every one of the off-the-script additions (that we can see ) is a perfect Starsky-ism. Beautiful. Again, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
You give me too much credit, dear lady. I’m a fan, too. The things I do in my fandoms give *me* pleasure; all I’m doing is sharing them with like-minded folks and hoping they’ll get at least some of the same pleasure. It’s unquestionably a joint venture — in other words: It takes a village. So take *your* part of the credit and we’re even. At the risk of repeating myself, it’s *my* pleasure.
Squeeeeee! Just beautiful! I love the humor and the wild things theme. The clever use of Henna tattoos.
Then I looked again. Damn, girl! What a gorgeous painting of two people in love. Hutch’s hair mussed and his hands! Wrapped carefully around Starsky gently possessing and protecting him in after moment of lighthearted fun. What a joyful gift!
Suzan! What a marvelous gift! You are truly a genius. I love how Starsky has marked his mate, with an hand print, and heart on Hutch’s behind. Genius and beautiful! Thank you!
I really had no idea what to expect when I clicked the link (I saw this before I read the accompanying story) and wow, what an image! I love all the details that tell the story of Starsky & Hutch’s wild evening with body paint and henna tattoos! Love the meticulous tiger stripes on Starsky and the fun additions on Hutch where you can tell Starsky got a little bored just drawing spots. So in-character!
Such feelgood art, and I love the cheeky Maurice Sendak reference. Thanks, Suzan. S&H as cats – you make it work, whether wild or domestic! ๐
(I’ll just link this cute video here for you, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvEKa-XdykI )
I keep noticing new little details in this and it’s awesome! It took me a few times viewing this to notice the wild things on the duvet. Starsky’s doodles are my favorite part of this. ๐
Exquisite!!
Perfect accompaniment to DPPatrick’s story!
KUDOS!

Whoa! And there it is – better than I imagined after reading the story. Particularly love the handprint on Hutchโs ass. Henna lasts awhile…
Love the little heart on Hutch’s tushy. And that hand print!

And the Wild Things silhouettes dancing across the comforter just makes this even better.

Sweet mother of pearl. This is such an awesome surprise. The leopard and the tiger in their natural habitat. Love the ‘graffiti’ on Hutch. ๐
Beautiful! So thankful for your gift!
….can’t….breathe….
Amazing and beautiful!
Wow! Gorgeous expression of their love! The colors are beautiful.
Roaw…miow. Quite lovely.
