On Day 2 of the Advent Calendar, we put out an appeal for help. Our guys were undercover with no time to do Christmas shopping. We asked you to suggest gifts each of the guys could give each other. And we said that for each person that suggested gifts, the Personal Shopper organizer would donate cash money to Paul and David’s favorite charities. Later, another fan offered to match that donation dollar for dollar.
Well, you came through in spades. Our guys will never again have to agonize over what to give their partner; that problem is now covered for possibly the rest of their lives! And we are proud to say that David’s favorite charity, the Idaho Black Bear Rehab, and Paul’s charity, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation, each received $60 apiece thanks to your participation. In addition, three fans whose names have been pulled from a hat will receive free zines. We are working out those details now.
The boys’ gifts are all documented in words and pictures. There are even links that will take you to websites that will allow you to learn more about specific gifts. This is great! I thought at first that people submitted their ideas with the pictures, and felt bad that I hadn’t thought to do that. (Haven’t had my coffee yet!) The pictures are awesome, and really bring the ideas to life. Love the Chia pet!

What a great list! I don’t see my suggestions, though; maybe my email went to the North Pole by mistake? Fortunately, I think the boys have more than enough pressies to keep them busy 🙂 This was a lovely idea, thanks to all who contributed.
We worried that some emails went astray. But it is always Christmas here at the north pole. If you send me your suggestions to my private account I can add an addendum. We don’t want anyone to be missed!!!

I clearly had too many visions of sugar plums dancing in my noggin, and not enough brain cells to look in my “spam” folder. My apologies. I am sending your mail on to Head Elf Flamingo, who will surely fire me now. I have a feeling I won’t be getting that new gold and silver elf suit with the jingle bells I’ve been wishing for after this mess up.
Oh–and we did throw a couple extra dollars into the kitty for the charities, so me losing this gift (temporarily) does not mean we shorted our guys.
