Oh, my goodness, is that ever a beauty! I want to blow it up and hang it in my house!

What a great way to start my day!!

  3. Lisa A says:

This is beautiful and so touching! I just love everything about it. Their positions tell of love and security. It’s romantic, sexy (Hutch’s hand under Starsky’s shirt), peaceful and so full of love. It screams of home and the keys are a nice touch. You outdid yourself with this one.

  4. kat says:

This is stunningly beautiful. Thank you!

  5. Sisblau says:

    Awwwwww!
    Absolutely ADORE this!!
Thank you, Mortmere for sharing your amazing talents!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you, Nancy – and thanks for posting that still of Paul on the couch with his feet on the table on FB last summer, this one got started from that.

  7. mvernet says:

Oh! So lovely! What a warm scene. It brings a tear to my eye. Sleepy cuddles are the best cuddles. As always love the details.

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! I hope that was a happy tear! One can’t go wrong with sleepy cuddles (well – even if Hutch drools a little there, Starsky won’t mind).

  8. Dawn Rice says:

Adorable. Those feet…This picture provides all the warm fuzzy anyone should ever need.

  9. Sandy says:

I agree with Keri: I want to enlarge and frame this and hang it in a place where I’ll see it every day! So fantastic. Your talent is most impressive, Mortmere! Thanks so much for creating this.

  10. Ragdoll230 says:

    Waiting for Santa? Lovely pic!

    This is so beautiful!
Perfect pose (amazing perspective, very well done), all those lovely details (like Hutch’s hand) and, of couse, Starsky’s feet. Love it!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! This is based on a screencap from Paul’s movie Wait Til Your Mother Gets Home, so that sorted the feet-heavy perspective without too much effort – I just added Hutch and moved them to their natural habitat. (Ha, but I worked on the piece for three months, so it’s not like it was over easy!)

  12. CallieDoodle says:

“Home,” indeed. This is really beautiful. Their positions are so intimate and sweet. We should all have such a connection to another human being. Just lovely

    Merry Christmas!!

    • Mortmere says:

Thank you! Yes, everyone deserves to have that connection, but experiencing it vicariously through these guys is definitely better than nothing!

  13. Marz/freshcandy says:

Wonderful! So, so sweet and comforting. When I look at it, I feel like my nervous system relaxes – soothing. The way the shot is set up is very nice too – somehow feels like everything is in its proper place – even besides Hutch’s hand. 😉 The dimensions are perfect! This is just how it happened. Thank you for all the amazing work you’ve done; it’s a lot. Much love.

    • Mortmere says:

Aww, thank you! Art can have a very calming effect, and I’m glad to have created something that works like that for you!

  14. Garrideb says:
